Your First Budget: The Real-Life Week Challenge is a hands-on workshop for 5th–6th graders that turns budgeting into a game. Students get a weekly money scenario, choose from real-life expenses, and respond to surprise “twist” events like a friend’s birthday or an unexpected fee. They’ll learn needs vs. wants, fixed vs. flexible costs, and how to make smart trade-offs. Participants will leave with a simple 3-bucket Spend/Save/Share plan.
