New Member Resource: The Summer Money Habits Activity Pack
Last week on the blog, I shared how summer is one of the best windows we have to teach kids about money, no homework competing for attention, just everyday life full of teachable moments. (If you missed it, you can read Summer Money Lessons: Helping Kids Build Smart Habits on Break first.)
A lot of you wrote back with the same question: this sounds great, but what do I actually do with my kids tomorrow?
So we turned the ideas into something you can print and use today. The Summer Money Habits Activity Pack is a new members-only download with one ready-to-go activity for each age group:
The Three-Jar Challenge (ages 6–10) — make saving, spending, and giving something kids can see and touch, with a goal tracker to fill in.
Budget Boss Challenge (ages 11–13) — hand your tween a real budget to manage, complete with a planning sheet and spending log.
Paycheck Reality Check (ages 14–18) — work through gross vs. take-home pay and turn it into a real savings plan.
Each activity is a single printable page with the supplies you'll need, simple steps, fill-in worksheet space, and a quick parent tip. Print the one that fits your child, grab what you need, and let them learn by doing.
It's free for members and available to download here.
If you try it this summer, reply and tell me how it goes (michelle@savesmarter.org). I'd love to feature a few of your stories in an upcoming post.
