Online Tools to Support Your Budget

If you've been following our Budgeting Basics series, you've already learned what a budget is, how to track your spending, how to sort wants from needs, and how to make saving part of the plan. Now it's time to put that knowledge into action. We have two tools to help: one for a quick check-in, and one for building your full budget.

Quick Budget Check

Our Quick Budget Check is free and open to everyone. It's a fast way to see where you stand. Just enter your monthly income and expenses to find out how much you have left over (or how much you're short). You'll also see a breakdown of where your money is going, which can help you spot areas to adjust.

This tool is great if you want a quick snapshot without a lot of detail.

My Budget Blueprint

Ready to build a complete budget? SSA members have access to a complete “My Budget Blueprint” online worksheet that walks you through the full process step by step. You'll track your income, sort your expenses by needs and wants, set savings goals, and see how it all adds up. It's designed to help you create a budget that actually fits your life.
